Infectious Disease Preparation and Response Plan

Our Preparation and Response Plan is in constant change based on the current situation. We believe that this is a community effort and we are sharing important elements of our plan to minimize the risk to our employees and customers.

Proactive Measures Currently Underway

Leadership is monitoring the situation by the hour and meets regularly to review information and updates in order to make timely decisions.

  • Increased sanitization of all work and public areas. In addition to normal best practices, we are now requiring hand washing prior to entry into all areas, required rotating cleaning breaks, and increased sanitizing stations for visiting customers.
  • Monitoring health conditions of employees. El Burrito Mercado requires anyone that has any COVID symptoms to stay home. We encourage all individuals that show symptoms to immediately contact their doctor.
  • Daily review of educational materials and Infectious Disease Preparation and Response Plan.
  • Culture of Respect. With heightened awareness we must work together as a community to avoid acting with discrimination.

Response Plan

  • El Burrito Mercado will communicate any changes to employees, customers, and the public via normal communication channels.
  • El Burrito Mercado will follow all recommendations and directions of the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health
  • El Burrito Mercado is also prepared to adjust our operations if we have a localized situation such as a confirmed case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in one of employees. In the event this occurs, we will work directly with public health experts and follow all recommended actions.
  • In the event of a closure to the public, we have plans in place to continue the ability to support the community by making product and support available via other means.

Ongoing Communications

  • El Burrito Mercado is committed to open and consistent communication. We will continue to update our employees and customers as the situation evolves.
